July 4th Independence Day, It’s A Wonderful Life and Freedoms

July 4th, 1776 is a special time for all Americans to reflect on what they have, where they’ve been, and where they are going.

Actually July 4th is much more than then just the celebration of an American holiday. Keep in mind the history of the world had been filled with government’s oppression of men. Certainly much more slavery and oppression than freedom and liberty. But on that day in 1776 all would change for that would be the beginning of a nation of freedom lovers putting literally their lives, possessions and honor all on the line, to say to the most powerful nation on Earth enough is enough.

They basically said “We will have liberty and freedom or we will accept death” and most assuredly (all 56 signers) would have been hung or at the very least imprisoned for the remainder of their lives if they had failed.

And now 231 years later people still see America as the beacon of freedom and hope around the world, and that is why so many risk so much to get here. Because their governments are too oppressive and corrupt.

The following is a letter from Ray Faltinsky CEO of Freelife that tells a couple well known stories of Freedom.

"It is Christmas Eve, 1946 and George Bailey is in a dark place. Faced with the loss of his business, he is on the verge of suicide. The prayers of his family and friends alert Heaven to George’s state of mind and Clarence Odbody, an Angel Second Class, is sent to Earth to save George. Clarence later reveals that he is also being tested; after over 200 years of trying, he has still not earned his wings!"

In the last scene of this classic movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) holds his little girl in his arms, celebrating the freedom the tiny community of Bedford Falls finally has earned from the rich and evil "Mr. Potter."

Amid tears and cheers, everyone is celebrating as George holds his little daughter. Then, there is the unmistakable sound of a bell.

Not a loud bell … a soft bell.

A bell so penetrating that everyone can hear it.
George Bailey’s little girl says, "Listen daddy. Teacher says that whenever a bell rings, an angel gets his wings."
What a wonderful story. A "Second Class Angel" saves a first-class manbrings freedom to a community, and in the process earns his own wings. And a tiny bell rings, honoring the occasion.

Another bell rings loud and clear on July 8, 1776. It is the Liberty Bell ringing out from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

A bell rings, a young nation declares its independence, and people become free. Now, more than a million citizens have earned their wings by giving their lives to preserve the freedoms we hold so dear.
On the Fourth of July, we in America celebrate our cherished freedom. It is fitting that we should do so.
However, we love freedom no more than people in any country. From Canada to Australia, from Mexico to the Philippines, and with all nations in between, we claim freedom as a God-given birthright, as vital and important to our lives as oxygen.

In fact, that is what freedom isit is spiritual oxygen.
We cherish it, fight for it, share it, and breathe in its sweet fragrance.

Perhaps that’s why those of us in FreeLife are so passionate about our opportunity to live the "free life." That’s why we get so excited when we receive a check each month from FreeLife.
It is our check.
It is in our name.
It is our business.

So when you come to our Convention in September, I would challenge you to stop and notice how many people are smiling, how many people are happy, how many people are hugging and embracing each other.

Watch them celebrate each other's success, and shed tears at their stories of victory. See their eyes light up as they hear what Himalayan Goji Juice has done for someone's health. See them glow!
There is something in the air, something tangible and good.
It is the sweet smell of spiritual oxygen.
It is freedom in motion, a group of people with one heart and one mind who want to change the world for good.

And in the process, thousands upon thousands of tiny bells will ring, and people who would never claim to be angelic are being filled with the desire to serve others and bring freedom into their lives.
And if you listen closely... perhaps you'll hear the swish of wings as people go about the most important business in the world, the business of making a difference in the lives of others.

Little Known Facts about the American Revolutionary War Plus Goji Juice

The Americans of 1776 had the highest standard of living and the lowest taxes in the Western World! - Farmers, lawyers and business owners in the Colonies were thriving, with some plantation owners and merchants making the equivalent of $500,000 a year. Times were good for many others too. The British wanted a slice of the cash flow and tried to tax the Colonists.

Benjamin Franklin wrote the first Declaration of Independence! - In 1775, Franklin, disgusted with the arrogance of the British and appalled by the bloodshed at Lexington and Concord, wrote a Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was enthusiastic.

History's first submarine attack took place in New York Harbor in 1776! - The Connecticut inventor David Bushnell called his submarine the Turtle because it resembled two large tortoise shells of equal size joined together. The watertight hull was made of 6-inch-thick oak timbers coated with tar. On September 6, 1776, the Turtle targeted the HMS Eagle, flagship of the British fleet.

Benedict Arnold was perhaps the best general in the Continental Army! - "Without Benedict Arnold in the first three years of the war," says the historian George Neumann, "we would probably have lost the Revolution." In 1775, the future traitor came within a whisker of conquering Canada. In 1776, he built a fleet and fought a bigger British fleet to a standstill on Lake Champlain.

By 1779, as many as one in seven Americans in Washington's army was black! - At first Washington was hesitant about enlisting blacks. But when he heard they had fought well at Bunker Hill, he changed his mind. The all-black First Rhode Island Regiment -- composed of 33 freedmen and 92 slaves who were promised freedom if they served until the end of the war -- distinguished itself in the Battle of Newport. Later, they were all but wiped out in a British attack.

George Washington was the best spymaster in American History! - He ran dozens of espionage rings in British-held New York and Philadelphia, and the man who supposedly could not tell a lie was a genius at disinformation. He constantly befuddled the British by leaking, through double agents, inflated reports on the strength of his army.

By 1779, there were more Americans fighting with the British than with Washington! - There were no less than 21 regiments (estimated to total 6,500 to 8,000 men) of loyalists in the British army. Washington reported a field army of 3,468. About a third of Americans opposed the Revolution.

At Yorktown, the victory that won the war, Frenchman outnumbered Americans almost three to one!

King George almost abdicated the throne when the British lost! - After Yorktown, George III vowed to keep fighting. When parliament demurred, the King wrote a letter of abdication -- then withdrew it. He tried to console himself with the thought that Washington would become a dictator and make the Americans long for royal rule. When he was told that Washington planned to resign his commission, the monarch gasped: "If he does that, sir, he will be the greatest man in the world."
